Johnny Rockets seeking expansion in India

A franchise agreement have been signed by us restaurant chain Johnny Rockets with Prime Gourmet to start at the least 20 restaurants in India on the next few years.

Original areas are slated for New Delhi, Noida and Gurgaon in the National Capital Region, with subsequent extension in the offing for Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Pune, Hyderabad and Kolkata.

Leading Gourmet is a new organization founded by Sachin Goel, Vishal Chaudhry and Gaurav Sharma. With substantial experience in the financing and welcome industries, the three entrepreneurs deliver special experience to the brand new company.

Goel and Chaudhry formerly helmed an organization called Restaurant Concepts that owned and operated a restaurant and bar in Gurgaon, a of Delhi, and presently develop leisure attributes with getaway control chances in Goa and Delhi.

Sharma has a finance back ground, and has experienced private and investment banking equity for over 10 years in both US and India.

"There is really a significant, increasing section of upper middle class and middle class Indians with a top tendency to eat out," said Goel.

"With its menu of all-American favorites, amazing mood and participating dining expertise, Johnny Rockets can meet a client need for a good product in the QSR and casual dining arenas," said Goel.

Based on a recent Rabobank Food and Agribusiness Research survey, the QSR part in India is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 30% until 2015. That expansion is three times that of the Indian foodservice industry in general, and is ascribed to a younger population, larger disposable incomes, higher rate of urbanisation and exposure to western life styles, among other factors.

The National Restaurant Association of India also reports that 50 per cent of consumers dine out at least once every 3 months.
